Pros
I joined Skyhorse 2 years ago and it's been a wild ride. Some people love it and some people hate it. I'm one of those who loves it. This is a relatively young company and it's changing quickly. I like that. While there are still some problems, I've seen a lot of improvement. It's clear that the CEO wants to make this a great company and I feel that it's up to us to defend it. I'm worried that the negative reviews, I'd say by people who got fired, don't begin to reflect the company as it is now. This management team is more responsive to criticism than at any of my previous employers. I like the fact that things can happen quickly here. For example, not too long ago a team of half a dozen people who wanted to improve the benefits here got together and wrote up a proposal for the CEO. After a long lunch he agreed to all of our requests. I was surprised, since I've worked at the company for a while and he's a pretty tough guy. He said that Skyhorse has done well and that he wanted to recognize all the hard work that went into it. This made me feel good about working at the company. It actually made me reconsider my previous decision to leave the company (more about that below). As I say above, some of my colleagues, former and current, aren't fully happy with Skyhorse. But right now, I see a company that's improving and growing and that is certainly good enough for me.

Cons
I was having some issues in my personal life and had decided to leave. The decision was a tough one, because in most ways I really like Skyhorse. But there's no denying that there can be a lot of stress and that stress was getting to me. Most people at the company don't know the story, but the CEO talked me down from the ledge ... (okay, he also gave me a raise). He promised that he would continue to hire more people. So the Cons are these: 1) Often too much work. 2) A bunch of employees who are still at the company and burned out from the start-up years. 3) Offices that are cramped. (though there's talk of new space being explored) 4) Ongoing internet problems (though I hear they will be fixed soon).

Advice to Senior Management
Push the CEO/Owner to keep making positive changes. This can be a great company, but it's not there yet.
